Belarusian Armed Forces begin surprise combat readiness inspection
The Armed Forces of Belarus have launched a surprise inspection of combat readiness, ordered by President and commander-in-chief Alexander Lukashenko.
The measures aim to bring selected military units and subdivisions to the highest level of operational readiness, the Belarusian Ministry of Defence announced on its Telegram channel.
According to the ministry, the units will move to designated areas to carry out a series of training and combat tasks.
“A number of units of the Armed Forces will conduct measures to transfer to combat readiness, march to the designated areas, and execute the activities outlined in the order,” the statement said.
The inspection is being conducted under the direct supervision of the State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus, highlighting the strategic importance and high level of the manoeuvres.
This operation follows the joint strategic exercises “Zapad-2025”, which began on September 12 on Belarusian territory in cooperation with Russia. The exercises focused on planning the use of nuclear weapons and testing new Russian military complexes.
