Biden administration considers $18 billion arms transfer to Israel Including F-15 jets
The Biden administration is currently deliberating on whether to proceed with a significant $18 billion arms package destined for Israel, involving the transfer of dozens of F-15 aircraft and munitions, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
Sources reveal that the proposed sale, which includes 25 F-15 fighter jets manufactured by Boeing, has been under review by the United States since January 2023, when Israel formally submitted the request, Caliber.Az writes, citing The Times of Israel.
The potential arms transfer has since been subject to careful examination and assessment.
Among the key figures advocating for the expedited delivery of these aircraft is Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. During his recent visit to Washington, Gallant engaged in discussions with top US officials, including National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, emphasizing the urgency of accelerating the transfer of military assets to Israel.
