Russia's Zakharova calls Putin’s 2024 remarks on Western elites "prophetic" Amid Epstein revelations
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remarks on the nature of Western elites, made in March 2024, have proven prophetic, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, amid the scandal surrounding American financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Zakharova urged the public to revisit the segment of Putin’s interview in which he stated that Western elites have “for centuries been accustomed to filling their bellies with human flesh and their pockets with money,” Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
She noted, however, that this “the vampire ball,” as the Russian president put it, is coming to an end.
“I believe everyone should watch the segment of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s interview where he says — and thank God it is coming to an end — the vampire ball,” Zakharova said.
She pointed out that the publicly released documents in the Epstein case mention the names of many prominent politicians, businesspeople, diplomats, and scientists.
According to Zakharova, these individuals were nurtured within this “cesspool” and later recruited into high positions within Western society.
“For many years, the worst of the worst were being selected there,” she said.
On January 30, the U.S. Department of Justice released more than three million files, including over 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, related to financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was charged with crimes against minors and sex trafficking. The archival documents reportedly mention dozens of Western politicians.
