Uzbekistan to launch national university ranking
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice has registered regulations establishing a national ranking system for higher education institutions. The list will be compiled by the Agency for Education Quality Assurance.
The ranking will include both public and private universities across four categories: applied sciences, medical sciences, social and humanities fields, and creativity and sports.
The final list of universities will be published annually by November 1. By June 1, a survey of students, faculty, and international experts will be conducted to assess the reputation of the institutions.
The ranking will be calculated using 25 indicators, five of which will be based on the survey results. To count survey results, at least 20% of each university’s students and faculty must participate.
