Death toll in Iran’s Fars province rises to 59 following US, Israeli strikes

The death toll in Iran’s southern province of Fars has risen to 59 following US and Israeli attacks, according to the head of the province’s Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.

The official said those killed included members of the Iranian army, personnel from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), law enforcement officers and civilians. Of the total fatalities, 26 were civilians, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.

The city of Lamard recorded 21 civilian deaths, accounting for the majority of non-military casualties in the province.

Authorities said victims have been buried in several cities across Fars province, including Shiraz, Mehr, Lamard, Darab, Bakhtegan, Rostam and Firuzabad.
