Iran military: Israel, US to ultimately have to accept defeat
Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the command body coordinating the country’s armed forces, has said that what it described as “regimes on the brink of destruction,” meaning Israel and the United States, would ultimately have to accept defeat in a war imposed on the Islamic Republic.
In a statement, the headquarters said Israel and the United States were attempting to break a military and political deadlock. It accused them of seeking to target diplomatic centres and interests of Muslim countries in the region in order to blame Iran for the attacks, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
The command stressed that Iranian military operations were directed exclusively against Israel, as well as U.S. military bases, infrastructure, and American interests in the region. It rejected suggestions that Iran was targeting neighbouring countries or broader regional interests.
According to the statement, plans by Israel and the United States to implicate Iran in attacks on regional diplomatic sites were aimed at creating unrest and avoiding a “final defeat.”
The headquarters added that Iran does not consider neighbouring countries or other Muslim nations in the region to be adversaries and said the Islamic Republic remains committed to regional security and the protection of Muslim interests.
