Bilateral security cooperation deepens between Georgia and Azerbaijan
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Azerbaijani Minister of Internal Affairs Vilayat Eyvazov, who is currently on an official visit to Tbilisi.
The meeting focused on deepening the strategic partnership and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
According to local media, citing the Georgian Government’s press service, the leaders highlighted the successful bilateral partnership that has developed between Georgian and Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies over the years.

During the meeting, the officials underscored the significance of the Cooperation Agreement signed between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of both countries. The agreement is expected to strengthen collaboration in key areas, including the prevention and investigation of crimes and the identification of perpetrators.
The discussion also emphasised the importance of ensuring stability and lasting peace across the region.
The meeting was attended by Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Gela Geladze, Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataridze, and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev.
