Billion-ruble assets of Russian senator could be seized by state

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has filed a lawsuit with Moscow’s Nikulinsky Court seeking to seize the property of Senator Akhmat Salpagarov and others, the court told TASS.

“The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation has submitted a lawsuit to the court to recover property from A. Salpagarov and other individuals,” the court said.

According to Kommersant, the case concerns transferring the construction company Kubanskoye, valued at around 4 billion rubles, to state ownership, as well as land in Teberdinsky National Park.
