Blogger: Over 30,000 Karabakh Armenians to leave Armenia during year
Armenian blogger Roman Baghdasaryan has said that many Karabakh Armenians continue leaving Armenia.
“I know at least three families who left because of constant threats from `Artsakh’ officials. During a month, Karabakh residents have seen that criminals were not arrested, not a single criminal case was filed against those responsible for ordinary people’s troubles, statements about the confiscation of the Karabakh clan leaders’ property were not made,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Baghdasaryan’s Facebook post.
“In essence, Armenia offers ordinary Karabakh residents to live amid threats of [former deputy commander of the Artsakh Defence Army] Samvel Karapetyan’s son, the heads of the Shusha prison and [leader of Karabakh separatists] Samvel Shahramanyan, who threatens to cut throat in the centre of Yerevan. During a month, six per cent of Karabakh residents left. About 35 per cent of simple, decent and hardworking Karabakh residents intend to leave within a year. People have suffered for 35 years due to drug addicts and bandits. They are offered to continue living amid crime and organised crime,” the blogger wrote.
“Remember this post! About 35,000 out of 100,000 will leave a year. I conduct surveys and 70 per cent of respondents are shocked that Armenia does not have any questions about murders, thefts and state loans,” Baghdasaryan wrote.
