Bloomberg compiles list of most impoverished Russian billionaires
The wealth of Russia's richest businessmen has decreased by $60.25 billion since early 2022.
Alexey Mordashov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Severstal, whose fortune as of August 1, 2022, decreased by $8.2 billion and amounted to $20.6 billion, topped the list of the most impoverished Russian billionaires, TASS reports, quoting materials of Bloomberg agency.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, since early 2022, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Novatek, Leonid Mikhelson, has lost $ 5.73 billion, reducing his fortune to $ 26.7 billion, and the chairman of the Board of Directors of NLMK, Vladimir Lisin, has lost $ 5.5 billion, reducing his fortune to $ 22.5 billion.
Alisher Usmanov, the owner of Metalloinvest holding, is also on the list of Russia's richest entrepreneurs whose fortune has shrunk. His fortune has decreased by $894 million since the beginning of the year and now stands at $20.4 billion. Former Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov lost $3.92 billion; his fortune was estimated to be $17.8 billion at the start of 2022.
