Media: Iran halts gas supplies to Türkiye following Israeli strike
Iran has stopped gas deliveries to Türkiye after Israel struck the major South Pars gas field, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
According to the agency, Iran accounted for 14% of Türkiye’s gas imports in 2025. Sources note that Ankara continues to receive gas from Russia and Azerbaijan, while also relying on existing reserves. The timeline for resuming Iranian gas supplies remains unknown.
On March 18, the head of the Assaluyeh district in Iran’s Bushehr province reported that a fire broke out at several South Pars facilities as a result of strikes carried out by Israel and the United States. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (elite units of Iran’s armed forces) announced plans to launch attacks in the near future on oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar.
