Bloomberg: US, Iran to reach deal on nuclear programme soon

It may take several weeks for the US and Iran to reach an agreement on restoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear programme.

Bloomberg reports citing sources that Washington and Tehran cannot reach an agreement on a number of key provisions of the "historic nuclear agreement" being prepared for renewal. These include verification by international experts of Iran's past nuclear activities, as well as economic guarantees in case a future US administration decides to pull out of the deal, as Donald Trump did in 2018. It could take weeks to resolve the differences, the agency's interlocutors are convinced.
