Bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers returned, Russian presidential aid says

Russia has returned the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed in the ongoing conflict, while receiving 35 bodies of Russian servicemen in a reciprocal transfer, Russian Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said.

Reporting via his Telegram channel, Medinsky wrote: “1,000 bodies of deceased Ukrainian soldiers have been handed over to Ukraine. Russia has received the bodies of 35 fallen Russian soldiers.”

No further details were provided regarding the locations or circumstances of the transfers.
