Bolstered Iran-Saudi ties to empower Islamic world in defending Palestine, Iran's president-elect
Iran’s president-elect Massoud Pezeshkian in a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, emphasized that bolstered relations between Tehran and Riyadh would enhance the Islamic world's strength in defending the Palestinian people.
During the phone call, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the importance of developing cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh, describing them as two vital and influential countries in the region. He noted that effective measures have recently been undertaken to expand mutual cooperation on international platforms, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The crown prince pointed out the substantial potential and capabilities for Iran and Saudi Arabia to develop their relations in various fields, especially in cultural, trade, and investment sectors. He expressed hope that the two countries would witness a bright future under the new Iranian government.
“I am sure that the development of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia will be in the interest of the Islamic world, including the issue of Palestine,” the Saudi crown prince added.
Earlier in the day, local media in Saudi Arabia reported that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had congratulated Iran's president-elect, Massoud Pezeshkian, by phone on his recent election victory.
During the telephone call, the crown prince expressed satisfaction with the strengthening relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia in various fields and stressed the need to bolster these relations as much as possible.
In response, Iran's president-elect expressed his gratitude to the Saudi crown prince for the congratulatory message on his election victory.
