Brawl breaks out in Armenian Parliament amid immunity debate VIDEO
On July 8, a physical confrontation broke out in the Armenian parliament between lawmakers and security staff during a highly charged session.
The incident occurred as opposition lawmaker Artur Sarkisyan attempted to leave the chamber following his speech, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
According to Kristine Vardanyan, a deputy from the opposition Armenia faction, Sarkisyan was attacked from behind by Vahe Galumyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party.

The clash happened amid heated debate over a motion to strip Sarkisyan of his parliamentary immunity. Authorities accuse him of involvement in planning an armed coup, a charge he denies.
Security personnel intervened to break up the fight, but tensions remain high as the parliament considers this politically sensitive case.
