31 May 2026 14:15
A vehicle carrying British tourists became trapped in a salt flat in the Tuzbair area of Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region and was unable to continue its journey.
Rescuers from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to assist, according to Kazakh media.
The vehicle was carrying two adults and a 12-year-old child. Due to difficult natural conditions, the recovery operation lasted for more than a day.
Using specialized equipment, rescuers successfully pulled the vehicle free and escorted it to a safe section of the route.
None of the tourists were injured, and no medical assistance was required.
