BTS concert in Seoul sees turnout of only 30,000
Up to 32,000 people gathered around Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul ahead of a BTS concert.
BTS will hold their first full-group concert in nearly four years on Saturday (March 21), marking their return after completing mandatory military service, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
The free concert, set for 8 p.m., coincides with the release of the group’s fifth studio album Arirang, their first collective project since Proof in June 2022. Named after a traditional Korean folk song, the album reflects the band’s roots and identity, according to agency BigHit Music.
While the setlist has not been officially announced, it is expected to feature the lead single Swim and other new tracks. Group leader RM will appear on stage despite a recent ankle injury, though he may limit his choreography.
Earlier, around 22,000 fans were expected inside the venue, with total crowds in central Seoul projected to reach up to 260,000.
Initial signs point to strong demand for the comeback, as Swim topped domestic music charts and the album recorded roughly four million copies in first-day sales.
