Businessman Emin Agalarov closes three restaurants in Moscow
Restaurants owned by Russian businessman of Azerbaijani origin Emin Agalarov—Forte Bello, Zafferano, and Edoko—have closed in Moscow’s Aviapark shopping centre as AgalarovRest shifts its focus to independent projects, the company said in a statement to TASS.
Earlier, Telegram channels reported the closure of the three restaurants in Aviapark.
“As part of its current strategy, AgalarovRest is moving its focus from locations in shopping centres to standalone projects,” Agalarov Development told TASS.
Evgeniya Khakberdiyeva, regional director of NF Group’s retail real estate department, noted that Agalarov’s restaurants have closed not only in Aviapark but also in other locations.
“The main reason is that the establishments became less effective. They operated in the mid- and upper-market segments, where customers expect constant updates to concepts, service, and offerings. In recent years, this did not happen, so the projects naturally came to an end, although they lasted longer than many competitors,” Khakberdiyeva said.
