Case of former Armenian defence minister sent to court
The case of Armenia's former Defence Minister, head of Kocharyan's Armenia faction and war criminal Seyran Ohanyan and 12 other people has been sent to the court.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia reports this, Caliber.Az reports quoting Armenian media.
On April 10, it was announced that the National Security Service of Armenia completed a preliminary investigation into the criminal case against former Armenian Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan. 9 people were charged with the crime, the press service of the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office reported.
As part of the criminal proceedings, the former Minister of Defence was charged with embezzlement on an especially large scale and abuse of official powers, which, through negligence, led to serious consequences.
Charges were also filed against the former head of the Cadastre Committee Manuk Vardanyan (abuse of official authority, which, through negligence, led to serious consequences), the former commander of the unit Grigory Khachaturov (money laundering on an especially large scale and abuse of official authority), the director of Moston Engineering D. G. (large-scale fraud and forgery of documents).
