Caucasus Muslims Office: Azerbaijan-Georgia ties - exemplary for whole world

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has said that the Azerbaijan-Georgia relations are exemplary for the whole world.

“The Azerbaijani and Georgian religious leaders did a lot for the integrity of the Caucasus and the well-being of the peoples both in the Soviet period and during the years of independence,” Report informs referring to Pashazade’s message made at a meeting with Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

“Azerbaijan supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while Georgia supports Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. I hope that we will continue doing a lot together. You, as an elder of the Caucasus, have always supported Azerbaijan because you stand for a just cause,” he noted.

Sheikhulislam expressed hope that the Patriarch of Georgia would be able to visit Azerbaijan.
