27 January 2026 11:52
For the first time, the Silk Road railway tour between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will extend to Tajikistan.
Previously, the trains only ran through cities in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The new route now includes Dushanbe: Almaty – Turkestan – Samarkand – Dushanbe – Tashkent – Almaty.
The Jibek Joly (Silk Road) train tour includes travel, a guided program with professional tour guides, excursions with entrance tickets, and transfers.
The tour will launch on March 20 for Nowruz, allowing participants to experience Central Asian festive traditions, national rituals, and music.
