Child gunman fires at school principal in Mersin, Türkiye PHOTO
A shocking incident occurred in the Anamur district of Mersin, Türkiye, when a 12-year-old middle school student, identified as M.K., opened fire on the school’s principal, Ender Kara, with a rifle.
The attack followed a reprimand by the principal last week after the student arrived at school on an electric bicycle. Surveillance footage captured the alarming sequence of events, showing the boy approaching the principal with the weapon before firing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Emergency medical and gendarmerie teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Ender Kara, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to the Mersin University Medical Faculty Hospital. Authorities have reported that his condition is critical and his life remains at risk.
