Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor Rus will start manufacturing its Tank 300 pickup truck in Russia's Kaliningrad, after signing a strategic cooperation agreement with the Avtotor plant, the company confirmed in a statement. Production is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
The partnership aims to strengthen the Tank 300’s presence in the Russian market, with plans to gradually localize production and transfer vehicle manufacturing technologies, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

The Tank 300 will be offered in four trim levels, featuring a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 218 hp (380 Nm) paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission—a slight decrease of 2 hp compared to the current export version. Buyers will have two interior trim options, five exterior color choices, and the vehicle will come with all-wheel drive, a reduction gear, and an optional rigid differential lock.
Previously, Tank models were not produced in Russia. Great Wall Motor Rus already manufactures other models at its facilities: the Haval crossovers—Jolion, F7, F7x, Dargo, H3, and H7—are assembled at the Tula plant, while the Haval M6 is produced at Automotive Technologies LLC in Kaluga.
