The Red Cross Society of China will provide $200,000 in emergency humanitarian aid to the Iranian Red Crescent Society to support victims of the ongoing conflict in Iran.
The assistance is intended in part to help the families of students who were killed during the conflict and to convey condolences to their parents, according to a report by France 24 citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
Speaking at a regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said Beijing condemns indiscriminate attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
Guo added that China is prepared to provide Iran with additional assistance and support for the Iranian people if needed.
