Chinese customs record higher import levels of Russian gold goods
22 November 2022 15:42
China's import levels of raw gold resources from Russia tripled in October to 2.16 tons in comparison to last year's figures.
The RBK reported on this, citing the press service of the Chinese customs agency.
Russia has sold 5.72 tons of gold goods to China in the first 10 months of 2022 with an overall value of $330 million, which is 1.9 more than in 2021 for the same period.
Nevertheless, Russian exports make up only a small fragment in China's import portfolio for these goods, with other countries having shipped much higher volumes in 2022 so far: Switzerland - $26.5 billion, Canada - $9.7 billion, South Africa - $7.7 billion, Australia - $7.2 billion, Hong Kong - $2.5 billion and Germany - $775 million.
