CIS defence ministers gather in Almaty to discuss military cooperation photo
Kazakh Defence Ministry announced that the meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries is taking place today, October 31, in Almaty, Caliber.Az reported, citing Kazakh media.
According to the ministry, the heads of defence agencies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the Secretary of the CIS Council of Defence Ministers, have arrived in Kazakhstan’s southern capital to participate in the session.
The Kazakh Defence Ministry stated that the meeting will conclude with the signing of a joint action plan for 2026 and several documents aimed at strengthening and further developing cooperation among CIS countries in the military sphere.
