CIS observers give positive assessment of Armenia elections
The parliamentary elections in Armenia held on June 7 were conducted in line with the country’s Constitution and Electoral Code, and were open, competitive, and held on a multi-party basis, the head of the CIS observer mission Nurlan Seitimov said.
Seitimov made the remarks during a press conference summarizing the mission’s findings, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“The elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on June 7 were conducted under the Constitution and the Electoral Code of Armenia. They were held on a multi-party basis, and were open and competitive,” he said.
He further noted that the CIS observer mission did not identify any violations during the parliamentary vote that could have influenced or altered the final outcome.
