Civilian death toll in Iran reaches 1,097, including 181 children Data by HRANA
At least 1,097 civilians have been killed in Iran since the outbreak of hostilities on February 28, according to figures released on March 4, 2026, by Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA).
The organisation reported that, in the 24 hours leading up to March 3, a minimum of 104 attacks were documented across 19 provinces of Iran. These incidents resulted in a combined total of 31 people either killed or wounded.
HRANA stated that the cumulative civilian death toll since the beginning of the conflict has reached 1,097. Among the victims are 181 children under the age of ten.
In addition, 880 further deaths are currently undergoing review to determine verification and classification.
The organisation also reported that 5,402 civilians have been injured since February 28, including 100 children.
