CNN: Russian presidential envoy meets Witkoff, Kushner over Ukraine peace efforts

Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev met US President Donald Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in New York on September 24 to discuss US-Russia cooperation and efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, according to sources cited by CNN.

Dmitriev, who heads the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), was in New York to continue peacemaking efforts and dialogue between Washington and Moscow, the sources said.

The meeting followed talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the US envoys earlier this month.

On September 23, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

During this week’s General Assembly, President Trump repeated his belief that Russia and Ukraine would reach a deal as the war continues.
