Crimea: Fuel depot fire reported in Sevastopol, after drone attack
18 April 2026 09:32
A fuel depot caught fire in Sevastopol on April 18 following what local authorities described as a drone-related incident.
Sevastopol “Governor” Mikhail Razvozhayev said that the smoke visible in the Gagarinsky district was coming from a fuel tank containing residual fuel in the Kazachya Bay area.
“According to preliminary information, the fire broke out due to a downed UAV. All necessary emergency services are working at the site. The fire area is small. No one has been injured. The fire will not affect the fuel supply situation in Sevastopol: there were no fuel reserves there. I ask everyone to remain calm and rely only on official information,” the “governor” wrote.
