22 September 2023 15:38
Mass unrest organised by the opposition to overthrow the Armenian government is still underway in Armenia’s capital Yerevan.
The Armenian authorities plan to announce a curfew, Caliber.Az reports citing the Zhokhovurd newspaper.
“Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his team discussed the decision to announce a curfew in connection with the situation in the country. The actions of disobedience are underway in Yerevan for almost three days and the authorities are frightened,” the newspaper wrote.
Since early morning, special police forces have detained 84 protesters in Yerevan who participated in acts of disobedience demanding Pashinyan’s resignation, the Armenian Interior Ministry told TASS.
