Dangerous virus transmitted through mosquito bites detected in Georgia

A case of dengue fever transmitted through mosquito bites has been detected in Georgia, according to Ivane Chkhaidze, medical director of the Iashvili Central Children’s Hospital.
Chkhaidze said the virus was confirmed in a person last week, Caliber.Az reports, citing Sputnik Georgia.
According to him, the dengue fever incubation period usually lasts five to seven days, and symptoms include chills, a high fever of up to 39–41°C, severe headaches, and muscle pain.
Chkhaidze also noted that no cases of Ebola have been recorded in Georgia.
