Dashnaks, Karabakh clan, Armenian church exploit Karabakh issue for own benefit for 35 years Armenian blogger’s opinion

Armenian blogger Roman Baghdasaryan has shared video footage on Facebook showing that the Dashnaks, the Karabakh clan and the Armenian church gained profit from the Karabakh issue.

“Ordinary people were robbed during 35 years throughout the Karabakh history. Even a fool understands that numerous people did not like Karabakh and did not show any patriotism towards it. Huge sums were collected under the pretext of assisting soldiers and old people, children and the sick of Karabakh and misappropriated,” Baghdasaryan noted, Caliber.Az reports.

The blogger noted that there is no doubt that 90 per cent of the Dashnaks’ budget was formed as a result of the Karabakh issue. They collected money for Karabakh in Russia, the US, France, and Armenia, but 99 per cent of them have never lived in Karabakh even one day and never moved there. That is, they lived luxuriously in the US, Spain, France, and Russia. They provided themselves and their party with money as a result of constant false collections. Half of this money was misappropriated on the spot, while another half was given to the criminal Karabakh clan. As a result, ordinary people received nothing. Without Karabakh, the Dashnaks are losing huge money in the Diaspora, and therefore, the Karabakh issue is very painful for them.

“Another team stealing money as a result of speculation around Karabakh is brother of the Catholicos of Armenians, Bishop Ezras, who throughout Russia collects money in churches for Karabakh people. During the 44-day second Karabakh war, Ezras and his vile priests filled all the basements of churches with humanitarian aid and even in March 2021 did not send anything to the Karabakh people. That is, four months after the end of the war, humanitarian aid was still in the churches. Ezras and his priests did not fight a single day in Karabakh, but during 35 years they stole money collected for Karabakh people,” he wrote.

Baghdasaryan wrote that about 50,000 natives of Karabakh live in Russia. All of them, working in Armenian communities and organisations, also gained profit as a result of the Karabakh issue during 35 years. As for the Karabakh community in Kolchugino town of the Vladimir region, where 500 families of Karabakh Armenians live, neither they nor their sons defended Karabakh, but almost all of them collected huge amounts of money and built palaces for themselves in the region thanks to dead soldiers. All Karabakh social activists do the same in Russia.

“A shameful situation was always observed in the “representative office of Nagorno-Karabakh” in Russia, which is located in the Armenian embassy in Russia. This fraudulent office is run by Albert Andreyan, who bribes almost all Karabakh residents who have restaurants in Russia. Dozens of businessmen complained to me that this office had collected money during 30 years and there was not a single report. Nobody asks the question. Why was it necessary to pay for this office called the “representative office of Nagorno-Karabakh” in Russia during 30 years? Why does Armenia pay for an unclear representative office in Russia? What did this gang of swindlers do for Karabakh, besides bribery throughout Russia and fraudulently collecting money from Karabakh businessmen?” the blogger wrote.

He wrote that during 35 years, criminal authority “Don Pipo” and his entourage, as well as criminals supporting Yezras, have gained money as a result of the Karabakh issue. No crime lord with sons went to fight for Karabakh, but everyone collected money by deceiving ordinary Armenians throughout Russia.

“Another office that has been collecting money thanks to dead Armenian soldiers and Karabakh during 35 years is the office of Ara Abrahamyan, the so-called Union of Armenians in Russia, which has never published a report on the amount it collected and where it sent this money. After the 44-day second Karabakh war, Abrahamyan collected hundreds of millions of dollars and fled to the US. Dozens of Armenian businessmen phoned me and told me about the collection of money by representatives of the Union of Armenians in Russia. When people demanded a report, the representatives of the Union of Armenians in Russia threatened with reprisals and murder,” Baghdasaryan wrote.

He noted that Armenian ambassadors in different countries have been stealing huge money under the pretext of Karabakh during 35 years. For example, the question arises. How much money did the employees of the Armenian embassy in Russia steal during 44 days of the war? The Armenians’ money was transferred at the request of Vardan Toganyan to Fora-Bank, which is the Armenian bank, and from there they spent it on thermal imaging cameras and other goods. Who formalised these purchases at the embassy? Could there be inflated amounts? I do not doubt that Toganyan’s people at the embassy earned millions of dollars thanks to the Karabakh issue and our soldiers.

“Who else has stolen and is stealing money? Of course, the Armenia Fund, which before 2018 did not inspire confidence and I doubt that everything is in order there now. Do you remember that the director of a fund was arrested in Armenia for spending money on gambling? What was the Diaspora doing in the Fund’s branches then? Can you imagine machinations to raise money for Karabakh? Moreover, according to the charter, the Fund takes a fifth part of the collected money for itself and shares money together with the Karabakh clan on the spot,” he added.

“There is accurate information that during Armenian ex-presidents Robert Kocharyan’s and Serzh Sargsyan’s periods of power, all employees in the Fund were not ordinary people, some employees are relatives of senior officials from Karabakh, some employees are women of easy virtue, but the worst thing is when they steal ordinary people’s money, and there is no doubt that this was done by Karabakh “ex-presidents”, namely, Kocharyan, Sargsyan and such murderers as Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan and Arayik Harutyunyan,” Baghdasaryan said.
