Deadly confrontation in Iran’s Paveh leaves two IRGC members dead

Two local members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed and two others injured during a confrontation with armed militants in Paveh County on the evening of June 29, according to Mehr News Agency.

Citing a statement from the public relations office of the IRGC in Kermanshah Province, the report said the incident occurred after armed assailants opened fire on the homes of the two IRGC personnel.

No further details about the condition of the injured have been released.

Authorities have launched an investigation into all aspects of the attack and are working to identify those responsible. The inquiry remains ongoing.
