Deadly explosion rocks factory in Türkiye’s Kavaklı district: 12 killed, 3 injured PHOTO/VIDEO
An explosion occurred for an unknown reason in the capsule production section of a factory operating in the rural Kavaklı District, which is part of the town.
Following the incident, numerous 112 Emergency Health and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu reported that 12 people had lost their lives in the explosion, and three others were injured.
Ustaoğlu stated, "An explosion occurred at the ZSR explosive production facility. After the explosion in the capsule production section of the factory, a collapse occurred in the building. Right now, all our teams are here."
He added that efforts to determine how many people were inside the building at the time of the explosion were ongoing.
