Deadly fire in Isfahan industrial workshop claims nine lives in Iran

Nine people were killed on December 15 due to gas poisoning following a fire at an industrial workshop in Iran’s central Isfahan province.

The fire erupted at the production line of the workshop unit located in Dowlat Abad Industrial Town in Borkhar County, Mehr News reports.

Rescuers, firefighters, and emergency medical services personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene, according to Mansour Shishehforoush, director general of the provincial crisis management department.

Shishehforoush confirmed that the victims were workers at the facility. He added that the cause of the incident remains under investigation and would be publicly disclosed once expert reports are submitted.
