Death toll from Moscow concert hall terrorist attack climbs to 140

One of the victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, who was in extremely serious condition, has died, bringing the death toll to 140, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.

"Unfortunately, one of the victims, previously in extremely serious condition, has died, the doctors did everything they could," the minister said, per Kommersant.

Four of those injured remain in extremely serious condition, while 19 remain in serious condition. Eighty people, including six children, are still being treated in hospitals.

On March 26, employees of the Emergencies Ministry completed the removal of rubble after the terrorist attack at the "Crocus" City Hall. A preliminary list of the dead was published, containing 120 names. According to the latest data, 360 people were injured in the terrorist attack.

On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack targeted the Crocus City Hall music venue in the city of Krasnogorsk near Moscow. 

Camouflage-clad gunmen with automatic weapons burst into a packed concert hall near Moscow, where the veteran rock band Picnic was to perform, shooting into the crowd and setting the building on fire.

ISIS-K, an offshoot of ISIL (ISIS), the hardline group that once sought control over Iraq and Syria, claimed responsibility for the attack on its Telegram channel, saying the gunmen had escaped.

Russian investigators said on March 23 that 11 people had been detained so far.
