The number of people killed in a Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv has risen to 24, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, as rescue operations continue at the site of a collapsed residential building.
ASTRA, citing emergency authorities, reported that the victims include three children.
A total of 47 people were injured in the attack, including two children, while 30 individuals were rescued from the affected areas.
The large-scale strike took place during the night of May 14, when Russia launched a combined missile and drone assault on the Ukrainian capital. The most severe damage was reported in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, where a residential building collapsed, prompting an ongoing search and rescue operation.
Emergency crews remain at the scene, continuing efforts to locate survivors beneath the rubble.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that May 15 has been designated a day of mourning in the capital in memory of those killed in the attack.
