Defa Press: Uranium removal from Iran is “impossible”
Iranian news outlet Defa Press, affiliated with the country’s armed forces, has denied reports that Tehran agreed to remove enriched uranium from the country as part of negotiations with the United States.
The media outlet stated that the removal of uranium from Iran was “completely and irreversibly” ruled out in diplomatic talks, citing information from senior Iranian diplomatic officials.
“Despite enemy media claims that Iran has agreed to transfer 400 kg of 60% enriched uranium, information received by Defa Press from high-ranking diplomatic sources in our country confirms: the removal of uranium from Iran has been definitively excluded from the diplomatic process, and claims by enemy media are pure lies,” the statement said.
