Defence chief advisor’s son among suspects in Armenia killing case
In Armenia, the son of an advisor to Defence Minister Suren Papikyan has been arrested in connection with the killing of a 24-year-old man outside the residence of well-known “criminal authority” Rustam Stepanyan, widely referred to in criminal circles as “Fat Rustam.”
According to Armenian media reports, referenced by Caliber.Az, the incident occurred on August 15 in the village of Proshyan, where 24-year-old Mamikon D. was discovered with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital, but despite efforts by doctors, he could not be saved.
Investigators have identified three suspects linked to the shooting. A court has already ordered their detention.
Among those arrested is Artashes Tonoyan, who, according to the reports, is the son of a general currently serving as an advisor to the head of the Ministry of Defence.
