Deputy FM represents Azerbaijan in strategic talks with Armenia, Georgia
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov will represent the country at the trilateral meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia, taking place today in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
The announcement was made by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Ayhan Hajizada, who confirmed to local media that regional cooperation will be the central topic of discussion during the meeting, Caliber.Az reports.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry had earlier issued a statement noting that the trilateral meeting is scheduled for April 17 and will focus on exploring prospects for enhanced regional cooperation. The meeting is expected to facilitate dialogue and collaboration among the three South Caucasus states.
The diplomatic initiative is part of Georgia’s broader efforts to serve as a mediator and promote stability in the region. Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili recently reiterated her country’s willingness to support Azerbaijan and Armenia in their peacebuilding efforts, emphasising that Georgia remains committed to providing all necessary tools and mechanisms to promote constructive dialogue between the neighbouring nations.
The meeting in Tbilisi is seen as a step toward fostering regional understanding and long-term cooperation in the South Caucasus.
