Deputy FM: Tehran ready for diplomacy or return to conflict “The ball is in America’s court”

Tehran is prepared both for a diplomatic resolution of the conflict and for a possible resumption of hostilities, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated.

He noted that Iran had recently presented its plan for ending the conflict to Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator between Tehran and Washington, Al Jazeera reports.

Gharibabadi added that the United States now faces a choice: “to choose the path of diplomacy or to continue the confrontational approach.”

“Iran is ready for both paths in order to ensure its national interests and security, and in any case, it will always maintain its pessimism and distrust of America and its honesty in the path of diplomacy,” the minister said.
