Deputy Minister: Armenia not to sue Russia due to non-receipt of weapons

Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Hrachya Sargsyan has said that Armenia will not sue Russia due to its failure to deliver weapons.

“There was no delivery of weapons, but it won’t go to trial. I think that the issue will be resolved in a partnership atmosphere,” TASS quotes Sargsyan as saying at a briefing.

Armenia has repeatedly accused the Russian Federation of delaying the supply of weapons and equipment, which, according to the Armenian side, had already been paid for.

In November, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the republic is ready to consider several options for solving the problem, including reducing Armenia’s debt to the Russian Federation in the amount paid for weapons.
