Deputy Minister: US grants visa for Russian diplomats for Nuclear Five talks
The Russian delegation has received US visas to participate in the Nuclear Five consultations at the UN.
"They were issued today," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told TASS.
Earlier, Ryabkov said that the United States had refused to grant visas to Russian representatives who were supposed to take part in the Nuclear Five talks.
The nearest meeting of experts will be held on the margins of the meeting of the First Committee of the UN General Assembly in New York, Lenta.ru reports.
Ryabkov assured that Russia would work to find an alternative time and place for the talks.
The diplomat said that the failure to issue visas to Russian representatives was an abuse by the United States of its functions as the host country of the UN agency.
