17 August 2026 10:26
Direct flights between Tabriz, Iran and Yerevan, Armenia, will resume on August 20 after a two-year hiatus, with the flights to be operated by Pouya Airlines from Tabriz’s Shahid Madani International Airport twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.
The regular direct route between Yerevan and Tabriz was officially launched on July 1, 2021, Caliber.Az reports, citing an Iranian-based Armenian radio station.
Flights were operated twice a week by Armenian carrier Armenia Airways, on Mondays and Thursdays.
The route remained in service for just over six months before being suspended as the airline optimised its flight schedule and reallocated aircraft.
