Dozens of fire units battling large fire in industrial zone of Türkiye's Afyonkarahisar VIDEO
A massive fire broke out on February 10 evening at a logging plant in the industrial zone of Afyonkarahisar, Türkiye, and has been burning for over 12 hours.
Around 60 firefighting units are working to contain the blaze, Caliber.Az reports via TRT Haber.
The fire has rapidly spread across a vast area of the factory, and the efforts of the firefighters are being hindered by strong winds in the region.
There is a growing concern that the flames could spread to nearby factories, including those involved in plastic production.
Local authorities have confirmed that there have been no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire. While the exact cause remains under investigation, initial speculation points to faulty electrical wiring as a possible trigger for the blaze.
