Drone attacks in Moscow region injure 17, authorities say
Seventeen people, including two children aged 10 and 3, have been injured following drone attacks in Russia’s Moscow region, local authorities said.
Andrey Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region, said all those injured are receiving medical treatment and remain under observation.
According to Vorobyov, casualties were reported across several districts, including Ramenskoye, Solnechnogorsk, Lyubertsy, Dzerzhinsky and Kotelniki. Injuries range from shrapnel wounds to fractures and head trauma.
In Ramenskoye, a 22-year-old man was hospitalised with injuries to the abdomen, pelvis and limbs, while a 10-year-old girl was placed under specialist care at a maternal and child health centre. A further injured man was taken to hospital with multiple wounds.
In Kotelniki, nine people were hurt, including a three-year-old child and a 58-year-old woman with a head injury. Several victims remain in hospital, while others are receiving outpatient treatment.
Emergency services are continuing firefighting and recovery operations at affected sites. Authorities said all emergency units are working in an enhanced response mode to ensure public safety.
