Drone crashes, explodes in West Kazakhstan region — Video goes viral
A video showing the crash of an unmanned aerial vehicle in Kazakhstan’s West Kazakhstan region has gone viral on social media.
Residents said the incident occurred near the village of Kyzyltal, part of Aksai town in the Borili district. According to witnesses, the drone exploded upon impact, and the blast wave shook nearby houses, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The regional police department, together with other authorized services, has launched an investigation to verify the origin of the debris, described as items resembling fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle found in the Borili district.
“The object was discovered outside the territory of the populated area. All circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated,” the police stated.
Authorities have yet to disclose further details about the drone’s type or origin.
