ASTRA: Drone hits aviation repair plant in Russia’s Novgorod

The "123 ARZ" aviation repair facility in Staraya Russa, Novgorod region, has come under attack, ASTRA informs via local social media reports. 

Sources claim that the strike hit the plant’s first workshop. There has been no official confirmation of the incident.

Local reports also indicate that approximately seven drones were shot down during the attack.

The affected facility is a leading provider of maintenance services for both military and civilian transport aircraft in Russia. The company performs full-cycle repairs of aircraft, including engines and all onboard systems, and is the largest enterprise in the Starorussky district. It is also one of the Novgorod region’s top enterprises in terms of state defence contracts.
