Six seek medical help after drone strike on Russia's Yekaterinburg
A drone has struck a residential high-rise in central Yekaterinburg, prompting six people to seek medical assistance, regional authorities have confirmed.
The governor of Sverdlovsk Region, Denis Pasler, said there were no serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Most of those affected were diagnosed with mild smoke inhalation. One woman was taken to hospital, while the remaining five declined further treatment.
According to Pasler, the strike caused damage to a single apartment building. Residents were evacuated and offered temporary accommodation, with psychologists and emergency responders working on site to support those affected.
Emergency services remain at the scene, and a drone threat alert is still in place across the region as officials continue to assess the situation.
The governor also urged the public to follow safety guidance and refrain from sharing photos or videos of drones or the aftermath of such incidents.
